Matchroom

The Terry Griffiths Matchroom was set up in 1987 by former World Professional Snooker champion, Terry Griffiths. It is widely recognised as one of the leading snooker clubs in the U.K. and has enjoyed world wide exposure, with some referring to it as one of the most famous, privately owned snooker clubs in the world.

Members and visitors are very welcome at the Matchroom and we pride ourselves on a warm welcome that is extended to players or spectators of all ages and abilities. We have members aged from 8 - 80 and players ranging from absolute beginner to elite level - all using the Matchroom to enjoy their snooker.

There is a strong social aspect to the club also, with junior and senior teams entering local leagues and a bar area that will often see many snooker related questions debated long into the night.

There are 14 championship snooker tables available, with two of these tables located in private rooms. There is an 8 ball pool table and two championship dart boards in the private T.V. lounge. Hot and cold snacks are available all day and there is a fully licensed bar.

The Matchroom is now home to the Terry Griffiths Snooker Academy (Wales) and this state of the art facility has the first ever computer programme dedicated to cue sports analysis. Ongoing work with both Cardiff and Swansea Universities will see this Academy setting the benchmark for others to follow in the future of snooker development.
