Junior Club

Junior Snooker Clubs at the Matchroom have been one of our most popular activities. Our Junior Club is open to our younger members, with entry limited to those that are 17 years old or younger. This Junior Club has been in operation for over 10 years and still proves a big hit with our younger snooker players.

Entry is currently £5.00 (subject to change depending on entries). There are prizes on offer every week as part of the knockout competitions and our new starters can get some guidance on the basic technical skills required to start enjoying the game.

Snooker is an excellent vehicle for introducing your children to sport. Snooker has always been seen as a gentleman's game so etiquette and respect for your opponent are very important. Other skills that are improved as a result of an introduction to snooker include mental arithmetic, understanding of angles, understanding of rules and how they are applied in sport, strategy and planning, cost benefit and risk analysis, gamesmanship, hand eye co-ordination and concentration.
